Mission Statement

The objective of the Ghana Education Project is to provide the youth and people of Ghana educational resources that will allow them to pursue both higher levels of education and higher standards of living, while affording meaningful service opportunities for American students.

Principles of Operation:

• To work in close cooperation with members of towns and communities at all times in serving their educational interests
• To recognize and respect the freedom of self-determination of all members of our target communities.
• To maximize the quantity and effectiveness of sustainable partnerships with other bodies and organizations.
• To seek new and dynamic ways of responsibly addressing the social issues of Ghana.
• To respect all Ghanaian cultural standards within our target communities and to develop and maintain methods and attitudes which minimize possible negative cultural impact.
• To adhere to the principle of a bilateral educational experience for all people involved with the program.
• To maximize the quality of the volunteer experience by maximizing programs' contributions to host communities.
