In 1999, six American college students traveled to Komenda, Ghana, on an independant service mission. What they
experienced there challenged their understanding of the world as Americans: they realized
that the education they received as participants in the community was as
great if not greater than any education they passed on.
Based on this humble understanding, the GEP embarked on a progam
building mission. 8 years, 120 AIDS Awareness workshops, 8 Libraries, 2 Documentaries, and one mobile hospital design later,
The Ghana Education Project is on the
